Yeah. Okay.

I had a colonoscopy yesterday.

No pictures. Sorry.

I started ‘preparing’ for it after my dinner on Saturday. Sunday morning, no food except for sugar-free Jell-O or popsicles, beef or chicken broth. ick.

I spent most of the day trying to NOT think about food. I did okay, really. I watched TV and had knitting needles clacking away on a project.

In the afternoon, Bill and Mary went out. She’s been wanting to try Thai food. This is something I had no interest in, so they went off to burn their taste buds off all by themselves.

I took a nap.

Around 6 I had to start with the sewer water. Yum. We added some lemon Crystal Lite to the concoction per the pharmacist’s recommendation, so it just tasted like sewer water running through a lemon grove. It certainly took care of the hunger I had been feeling. I wasn’t even bothered by the fact that Bill and Mary were baking up a storm; cookies and several types of brownies.

I hear they are exceptionally good.

Monday morning was round two of the sewer water. Yum! Just after noon we were off for the procedure and were home between three and four.

All went well, according to Bill.

I lay down for a nap when we got home, not really ready to eat much of anything, surprisingly. I did have a bowl of cereal. I must have had a bit of anesthesia left in me because I slept until 9 p.m!!!!

That messed up the rest of the night, but that’s okay.

This morning I feel like I got kicked in the back by a goat.

Just a little sore.

Off to the dentist we go this morning. Not for me. Not for the broken tooth I got after my last thorough ‘cleaning’. Nope. Mary is due for her cleaning today. She’s not happy, but I have assured her that she won’t come away with a broken tooth as I did because her teeth aren’t a mess like mine.

She’s still not happy with it.

Last week our new ‘adopted’ son, JP graduated his first year of film school and had the screening of his film Undead: A Love Story.
