Have you ever heard of Ulta?
There is one located in the shopping center here in Savannah that is one of our favorites. Michael’s lives there along with Movie Stop, Home Goods, and until recently, Books-a-Million. They, apparently, snuck out one night leaving Mary and I slack jawed and wide eyed on the sidewalk staring at the now empty store front window. They’re lucky Barnes and Noble is just down the way.
Ulta, however, sat there without our crossing its threshold until just last week.
I didn’t think anything could enchant Mary more than a store full of shoes until we walked in there.
Make-up and everything ‘girly’ from wall to wall.
Mary could live in there!
She told me!
There is SO much to look at! She had a couple of things she wanted to check out, things she saw in the ad that came in the mail. She had money to spend and really wanted some new eye shadow. She had a hard time deciding if she wanted to spend the money since we saw these shoes earlier in the day at a department store.
Yup, Mary LOVES these shoes! And is determined to get them before they’re gone.
She is a silly girl.
I’m silently hoping that by the time she saves the money they WILL be gone. lol
It was a busy day all the way around yesterday.
First I had a nail appointment in Pooler and on the way over there I stopped at the bank to get some cash to pay for the scrapbook day coming up. All day, playing with pictures with a bunch of really fun women.
It’s going to be fun!
Mary and I headed to Savannah Mall after that and wandered around. That’s where we found ‘the shoes’. We wandered through AC Moore and several mall stores when something caught our eye. She had to stop and stare at the pianos in the piano store. She dreams of a baby grand. I’d like to see her fit THAT in her room!
We pawed through the Halloween stuff on clearance at Target and headed home just in time to meet Bill as he was just pulling in from work.
We went to Ruby Tuesday for dinner and, because Bill planned on a nap so he could get up to see the football game he wanted to see, Mary went back out, coupon for Ulta clutched in Mary’s fingers.
We toured Ulta, Michael’s and then Barnes and Noble before we headed home for the night.
Mary was bouncing off the walls.
Bill was just up from his nap.
I was exhausted.
Oh, and I managed to pick up a super secret gift for Mary while I was out without her, safely hidden in the garage. She’s going to be so excited! And, no, it’s not the shoes.
No big plans for the weekend!
I may have to go back to Barnes and Noble to pick up this book…
There is plenty of supply hair now accumulated and since I didn’t get any takers on the fur coat offer, I thought this may be an alternative.
I’ll let you know how that goes.
