I don’t have little Ghouls or Goblins in the house anymore, unless you count the pets. They’re pretty creepy sometimes. Mary wants to dress the dogs up for Halloween this year, but I think I’ll pass. It would be kind of cute, though… ummmm…. no.
I love seeing the little kids in their costumes this time of year. A lot has changed since I was little and each year donned my ‘gypsy’ costume, wearing every piece of costume jewelry my mother owned and so delighted to wear some of her lipstick!
I found some memories here on my computer and thought I’d reminisce a little with some pictures.
One of the very precious ‘princess’ moments we had with Dayna. She was still 100% Disney back then!
In Indiana she was a cute little blonde witch!
Later, Mary wore this purple dress with a different effect.
When Mary was born I discovered scrapbooking, so I have a lot more pictures of her. And by the time Mary was a cute elfish creature, Dayna was an aloof preteen who didn’t want her picture taken. (sigh)
2001 was fun!
Dayna and her friend were twinsies…
and Mary was a very happy Scooby…
One year we had a very cute dolphin!
We found this costume at Sam’s Club. She wore it right out of the store! It was perfect for a cold Halloween in Indiana.
As Mary got older, and you may remember this, she was out of ‘cute’…
I think she was a cute vampire, though. She and Tracy had a good time! More fun with the make-up than the candy, I think.
I looking forward to see the little ghouls and gremlins tomorrow night!
